According to the Italian proverb, "Natale con i tuoi, Pasqua con chi vuoi" (Christmas with your folks, Easter with whoever you want) gives vent to the desire to travel during the celebration of a world holiday, to escape from the calssicity of the big family lunches, already held during the Christmas holidays. So, what better time to make the last ski run on the white slopes of the Arabba ski area to celebrate Easter in alpine style?
Many facilities still open allow for a relaxing stay on the Arabba Dolomites, surrounded by nature blooming after a long winter and by the many kilometres of slopes still available. Here are some suggested activities!
1. Skiing along the Pordoi PassThe only ski resort still open along the Sellaronda ski circuit. This statement makes the Arabba area even more exclusive, as it is the only area that allows skiing even
until 18 April, Easter Monday! Pordoi and Porta Vescovo benefit from an ideal snow temperature, due to their considerable height and position, ensuring perfect skiing.
2. Sunny walkingsMid-April means long days and milder weather, so it whets our appetite for sun-kissed walks. The most suitable route for this period, given that the snow is still present in some paths, is the
Pieve, Palla and Agai, where you can walk along a road with little traffic, for discover the scenic hamlets at 1700 m, suitable for the whole family.
3. Bike training if you are training for one of the many (or all) bike events this summer, there is no better place than to train where the circuit will take place. The perfect temperature and the lack of motorised traffic on the Dolomite passes will ensure that your training hours are spent in the best possible way.
