The non-competitive Pordoi Pass Time Trial Cycling Race, revived after years of absence by the Arabba Fodom Dolomites tourism association, took place on Sunday, June 25, 2023, on an idyllic day in terms of weather, with the Sella massif in all its splendor accompanying each participant in their challenge against time.
From the characteristic starting ramp at an altitude of 1,602 m above sea level in the center of Arabba, each participant arrived at the 2,239 m above sea level Pordoi Pass. The ascent of Passo Pordoi is among the most iconic and has been several times, the stage finish of the Giro d' Italia, but, above all, because of the majesty of the Dolomite landscape that makes it a must for every bike lover: 9.2 kilometers, with 33 hairpin bends and 637 meters of elevation gain.
The best overall men's time was set by Alessandro Sogne 26 minutes 08 seconds and 77 tenths (average 20.43 km/km) while the women's time went to Valentina Kostner 37 minutes 50 seconds and 18 tenths , who in fact became the King and Queen 2023 respectively.
