Alpine Rescue drill Livinallongo: cable car evacuation simulation

We are thrilled to invite you to a special event in Arabba on 17 August 2024, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the National Mountain Rescue Service. Starting at 5 p.m., near the Portavescovo cable cars, you can watch a fascinating mountain rescue exercise. It will be a unique opportunity to see the rescuers at work, who will simulate the evacuation of some of the cabins of the Portados lift. This event is not only a way to celebrate the long history and important contribution of Mountain Rescue, but also an opportunity to get closer to their world. Everyone is invited to attend the simulation and there will be an opportunity to take part by becoming the 'extras' of the simulation. It will be an exciting and educational day, ideal for those who want to learn more about mountain rescue techniques and for those who want to experience this fascinating field first-hand. To participate, go to the cable car at 16:30. The initiative is organised by the Livinallongo mountain rescue station and promises to be an unmissable event for mountain enthusiasts and anyone curious to find out how mountain rescue operations are carried out.
