LUIGI GORZA MOUNTAIN HUT
The "Luigi Gorza" refuge, thanks to its privileged position at the top of the "Porta Vescovo" offers a breathtaking view of the immense Marmolada glacier, the "Queen of the Dolomites". On the other side, its panoramic terrace opens onto an equally spectacular panorama that sweeps from the entire "Sella" massif to the "Tofane" group, passing by the "Bec de Roces".
The "Luigi Gorza" mountain hut, located at the top of "Porta Vescovo", at the mountain station of the Funifor "Arabba - Porta Vescovo", is located, in summer, on the "Viel dal Pan", an ancient path that connected the Ladin lands with the "Belluno" area, used by flour merchants to make bread. The refuge is also a short distance from the start of the Ferrata delle Trincee, one of the most opanoramic and historically rich equipped routes in the Dolomites.
