Salesei
The village of Salesei, in Ladin “Salejei”, is encountered along the SS 48 Dolomite road and is divided into several small villages:
Salesei di sotto,Salesei di sopra, Pian di Salesei where there is a First World War memorial, Costa di Salesei, Fopa e Socrepa.
Its sunny south-facing position and the meadows surrounding the village made it an ideal place for growing potatoes, barley, rye and fodder oats in the past.
