Cherz, in Ladin 'Chierz', is a small hamlet located at an altitude of 1651 metres, on the orographic left of the Cordevole stream. Perched on a slope of meadows, from where it is possible to enjoy a magnificent view of the Sella massif, Mount Civetta and Mount Pelmo. The small church in the village is dedicated to the Holy Cross.
The vicinity also includes the village of Masarei, located a little below the centre of Cherz, where there is a farm.
