ANDRAZ CASTLE
The Andraz Castle was built in 1027 and is the symbol of the Livinallongo valley. It was the military and administrative base for the Bischops of Bressanone and a stratgic point from wich to controlled traffic and trade. From Bressanone you could travel over the "Passo delle Erbe", Val Badia, and Val Parola to reach Belluno and then Venice.
The castle was also visible from "Laste, Rocca Pietore, Avoscan" and "Alleghe", using fire signals. It was also a block against the vast expansion of Venice. Dolomites were very attractive as a conquest to other regions because of the abundance of timber and minig. The castle was recently restored and lends the surrounding landscape a look into the past.
Andraz Castle during summer 2024 is open as follows:
JUNE: Thursday through Sunday | Hours 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
JULY & AUGUST: daily | Hours 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
SEPTEMBER: until 08/09 open daily thereafter open Thursday through Sunday | Hours 10:00-12:30 and 14:30-18:00
OCTOBER: Friday through Sunday | Hours 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
JUNE: Thursday through Sunday | Hours 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Over 65 € 6.00 people over 65 years of age (and any conventions)
Reduced students/groups € 4.00 groups of at least 15 paying visitors (admission only, no guided tour). Children aged 6-17.99 and college students.
Reduced schoolchildren € 3.00 for school classes and groups of all grades, state and non-state schools (the fee includes only admission to the castle, without the guided/animated tour and any educational activities).
Free admission: for disabled persons and their companions. Residents of the municipality of Livinallongo del Col di Lana . Children up to 5.99 years of age. Companions or guides of groups (1 for every 15 people). Expressly authorized individuals and/or guests of the Istitut or municipal administration.
Free admission: eligible persons and their companions, children up to 5.99 years of age
Audio guide rental: + € 1.00
Ordinary guided tour: + € 2.00 * to be applied only to full and reduced Over 65 ticket. The rate is variable for groups depending on the number of participants
Family ticket: € 2.00 reduction on the actual sum of tickets example: two full + two reduced = € 20.00; one full + two reduced = € 13.00
